Take a picture of your plate — the app names the dish, estimates how much is on it and counts the calories along with protein, fat and carbs.

Version 1.8 · Android 7.0 and up · no sign-up

No hunting for “homemade stew” in a catalogue and no guessing grams: the model recognises the dish and estimates the portion from the plate and the cutlery.
What is inside a dumpling, what dressing is on a salad, whether the coffee is sweetened — none of that is visible. The app asks one question and recalculates the calories from your answer.
Height, weight, age and the pace you want give you a daily target for calories and macros. From there you always see what is left for today.
The diary lives in the app itself; only the photo is sent for analysis. We ask for your email once — so there is somewhere to keep a backup.
The app is not on Google Play, which is why Android asks for that permission by hand. The file is signed with the developer key, so updates install over the old version and the diary survives.
The same works on Android if you would rather not deal with the APK. A plain browser tab is fine too — the home screen icon only removes the address bar.
