How to use it

Tap the camera button and point the phone at your plate — the app names the dish, estimates the portion and counts calories along with protein, fat and carbs. Missed the photo? Describe the meal in words instead; a repeat meal comes back from «Recent» in one tap. When the photo cannot show the filling or the dressing, the app asks and recounts from your answer.

The numbers are an estimate

Portion weight and ingredients are judged by appearance, so being off by 10–20% is normal: the oil in the pan and the sugar in the tea are not visible. You can correct the breakdown right in the meal card — drop what is not there or add what is, and the calories are recounted.

A new phone: getting the diary back

Create an account on the old phone (Profile → Backup) and sign in on the new one — the entries come back on their own. The photos do not: they never leave the phone, so entries return without pictures. Without an account the diary lives only in the app's storage, and deleting the app wipes it for good.

Deleting your data

«Erase all data» in the profile wipes the diary, photos and settings on the phone. The server copy goes with «Delete account» on the backup screen, together with the email and the password. What we keep, and for how long, is written out at calsculator.com/privacy.

Access, codes and the subscription

Ten new entries a day are free, and a newcomer gets three days of full access. A partner code is entered on the payment screen («I have a coupon») and opens access for its own period. If a code does not work, write to us and quote it: codes are single-use, and we can see when and by whom it was redeemed.

Something is broken

Write to support@calsculator.com — we answer within two working days, in the language you write in. If the trouble is with a photo, attach it and say what the app showed: the same analysis cannot be reproduced from a description alone.
